The Wise Still Seek Him | A New Year Call to Pursue and Worship Our King

Matthew 2:2 - saying, “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him.”

Herod, the people, the religious leaders, gave no heed to the Messiah.

But the wise men are truly wise; courageously traveling about 900 miles from a foreign country to seek and find the Lord.

They are not ashamed to publicly ask where the Jewish Messiah is, and that they have come to worship Him.

And when they find Him, they rejoice with exceedingly great joy, fall down and worship Jesus, at this time a Child Messiah, and bring gifts.

Two verses come to mind with these men.

And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for me with all your heart.

Jeremiah 29:13

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.

2 Timothy 1:7

As we come into this new year………

May I/we, be more like these wise men in their passionate pursuit and worship of our Lord.

What inconvenience might God be calling you or I to push through in seeking and worshiping our King?

To God be the glory!
